Insurance as a Second Job

An extra side income is illusive for even the richest of all and there are few second income sources as easily manageable as that of work as an insurance agent. The work requires very little startup cost as evident from the list of basic requirements:

A company or agency is the foremost requirement for sponsoring your license application. The sponsor would demand a certain commission of your sales. A potential sponsor can be the agent who sold you your insurance policy of someone in the neighborhood depending on your personal preference and the profits you willing to share.

The license qualifications details require a clean record and fingerprint cards and could be easily filled on your behalf by the sponsoring agency.

The beginner’s license is usually the property and casualty license (P&C) which deals in things like auto and homeowners policies. Next phase is that of preparing for the state exam from an easily available training package. Once the license is issued, the new agent must learn about the product and software of the company for his convenience while quoting and issuing policies. A short internship sees that being taken care of.

The next set of requirements like business cards, lap-top/desk-tops, cell phone would help create new opportunities and manage business.

Immediate business can be found in family, friends, and neighbors who could easily refer you as well. And if one enjoys this boost in one's income, this part time affair can be converted to a career.
