America's changing work ethics

The United States has been correctly hailed as the Super Power of all nations since ancient past that was justified by the advantages it enjoyed because of nature and nurture.

Natural benefits getting genetically transferred for generations well supported by good parental care and nutrition have been the strength of this nation.

But suddenly the world seems to be changing and America might be a little pushed back in its evolutionary programs. Countries like China and India are outshining their American counterparts as evident from the list of authors of academic years in the recent years. Buoyed by the shear size of their populations, these countries are producing pools of entrepreneurs, innovators and scientists who are going to take the face of super stars of humanity.

So, is population the only reason making this great deal of difference changing the equations of interdependencies among the countries of the world? Arguments like bigger schools offer a bigger pool of athletic talent to choose from for various competitions do exist but truly, the answer is in negative. The work ethics is the biggest leveler in this context. Most of the Americans have lost their strong work ethics and have become lazy.

The advantages enjoyed by the Americans have changed their appearance and practices like absence of discipline in the classrooms or the equality syndrome with reference to each individual in any situation has blinded the masses. Kids in high schools are suffering from heart diseases. A look at the nation’s life cycle curve or a 200-year up and down syndrome does not promise any illusive future.

The United States is failing to keep up with the competition being thrown by these countries and soon, their college and graduate students might be eating into America’s opportunities owing to the latter’s slow conversion to socialist tendencies. If the advances of India and China continue even at the current rate, America has a great chance of falling out unless they stand up to the competition and find a lead out for themselves. For the Americans, their reputation is at stake and it’s high time they changed gears.
